Sold Antique Microscopes and Historical Archive of Microscopy Instruments

Among the pieces that have passed through our gallery are monocular microscopes, binocular microscopes, laboratory microscopes, botanical microscopes, dissection microscopes, drum microscopes, Cary-Gould models, petrographic microscopes and other instruments used in scientific research, education, medicine and the natural sciences. Many of these examples retained their original objectives, eyepieces, mirrors, stages, wooden cases, accessories and period documentation.

The archive also includes instruments made by some of the most prestigious manufacturers in the history of scientific optics, including Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, Carl Zeiss, Reichert, Nachet, Smith & Beck, R. & J. Beck, Watson, Ross, Henry Crouch and Bausch & Lomb. These companies made an outstanding contribution to scientific research through the exceptional optical and mechanical quality of their instruments.

This archive should be regarded as a historical catalogue of sold antique microscopes rather than an active sales section. If you would like to browse the pieces currently available, please visit our antique microscopes for sale, where we regularly add carefully selected new instruments.
