Sold Antique Cameras and Historical Archive of Photography

Over the years, our gallery has handled plate cameras, folding cameras, wooden cameras, film cameras, stereoscopic cameras, magic lanterns, stereoscopes and pieces by historic makers such as Leica, Kodak, Agfa, Zeiss Ikon, Voigtländer, Rolleiflex, Contax and Ihagee. Many of these pieces retained their original lenses, bellows, cases, plate holders, viewers, tripods or accessories, significantly increasing their historical and collectible value.

This archive allows visitors to discover the evolution of photography, from the earliest plate systems and studio cameras to the film cameras that popularised image-making during the twentieth century. Each camera reflects a different way of seeing, capturing and preserving visual memory before the arrival of digital photography.
