In this section you will find our archive of sold swords, a historical collection comprising antique swords, sabres, daggers, knives, folding knives, machetes, bayonets, rapiers and other edged weapons that were previously available at Antiguedades.es. These pieces represent different periods, countries, military corps, civilian uses and traditions associated with historical, ceremonial and collectible weaponry.
Over the years, numerous antique swords and edged weapons from different periods, origins and types have passed through our gallery. Many retained their original blades, hilts, guards, scabbards, makers’ marks, inscriptions, coats of arms, emblems and decorations, elements that significantly increase their historical, military and collectible interest.
This archive makes it possible to explore the evolution of edged weapons, from civilian and military swords to officers’ sabres, uniform daggers, regulation bayonets, campaign machetes and other pieces intended for combat, defence, ceremonial use or representation. Each example reflects a particular period and a technical tradition related to metallurgy, uniforms, military corps and symbols of power.
This archive constitutes a historical catalogue of sold antique swords and not an active sales section. If you would like to see the pieces currently available, you can visit our antique swords for sale section, where we regularly add carefully selected new examples.
Among the pieces included in this archive are military swords, dress swords, smallswords, cavalry and officers’ sabres, daggers, knives, folding knives, machetes, bayonets and rapiers. There are also examples associated with different armies, police forces, military academies, the navy, artillery, infantry and cavalry.
The pieces preserved in this historical archive make it possible to compare manufacturers, production centres, materials, blade types, hilts, guards, scabbards and decorations. Marks from Toledo, Solingen, Klingenthal and other historic centres help to understand the development of edged-weapon manufacture during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
This archive constitutes a useful reference for militaria collectors, researchers, restorers and enthusiasts of military history. It also makes it possible to consult models, marks, emblems and construction solutions that may serve as guidance for identifying or comparing other similar pieces.
If any of the swords or edged weapons included in this archive serves as a reference for a future acquisition, please contact us. We will be pleased to let you know whether we have a similar example available or notify you when we add a related antique sword to our catalogue.
