Antique 34 cm French Nontron Pocket Knife. France, circa 1900
Antique 34 cm French pocket knife made circa 1900, featuring an elegant design and in good condition. The steel blade is well-preserved; on it, we can see remnants of the manufacturers punch mark, Nontron, which is quite worn from use. On the brass ferrule connecting the handle to the blade, there are two hand-engraved initials, C. T., flanked by fleurs-de-lis. The handle is made of reddish wood, perhaps chestnut; it has a tapered shape and features a simple decoration of fine parallel lines in the centre and at the ends. It retains its brass ring.
Its excellent condition and delicate craftsmanship make this 34-cm antique French pocket knife a truly unique piece, as attractive as it is original.
