Shipping to mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and Portugal

Shipping to mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and Portugal is free of charge. The buyer will not be required to pay any additional transport costs.

Shipments are made through specialised transport companies or postal services, depending on the size, weight, value and characteristics of the item.

Shipping to the Canary Islands

Shipping costs to the Canary Islands are not included in the price of the item. The system automatically calculates the transport cost during the checkout process.

Shipments to the Canary Islands may be subject to the tax and customs procedures applicable in the destination territory.

Shipping within the European Union

Shipping costs to countries within the European Union are not included in the price of the item.

The system automatically calculates the shipping cost according to the destination country, weight, dimensions and characteristics of the item.

Shipments are handled by specialised transport companies. Due to the wide variety of items we offer, it is not possible to establish a single shipping rate: a pocket watch does not require the same packaging and transport as a gramophone, sculpture or typewriter.

Shipping outside the European Union

Shipping costs to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Asia, the Americas and all other countries outside the European Union are not included in the price of the item.

Due to the variety and fragility of our articles, a pocket watch does not require the same packaging and transport as a gramophone, sculpture or typewriter.

Export licence for antiques

For certain shipments outside the European Union, particularly in the case of items more than one hundred years old, it may be necessary to obtain the corresponding Historical Heritage export licence from the Spanish Ministry of Culture before the item can be shipped.

We take full responsibility for preparing, submitting and managing this application. All processing costs and administrative fees required to obtain the export licence are paid by us, at no additional cost to the buyer.

This administrative procedure usually takes approximately two to six weeks. As with any official procedure, the time required may vary depending on the characteristics of the item and the time needed for the relevant authorities to issue their decision.

Although this procedure may delay shipment, it also provides important advantages. The licence and accompanying documentation officially certify the age of the item to the customs authorities in the destination country.

In some countries, such as the United States, correctly classified antiques over one hundred years old may be imported free of customs duties. In other countries, antiques may benefit from reduced import taxes or customs duties compared with those applicable to new goods.

The final application of taxes, customs duties or import charges depends on the legislation of the destination country and the customs classification of each item. Even where no customs duty is charged, the transport company or local authorities may apply handling, customs clearance, inspection, storage or other administrative charges.

Any such charges in the destination country are independent of the Spanish export licence and, where applicable, must be paid by the buyer.

Specialised packaging and transport

All our items are carefully packed, taking into account their size, weight, fragility and nature.

We work with several transport companies in order to offer a suitable option for each destination and each type of item. Where necessary, we use reinforced packaging, special protection or boxes adapted to the article.
