Large brass marine telescope, 90 cm in length, manufactured circa 1850 and in good condition. It works very well: the optics are clear and provide excellent visibility, offering high magnification that allows you to see great distances. It is a four-section spyglass, all made of brass, with the main section covered in braided leather. The covering is well-preserved; it shows only slight signs of discoloration at the edges, which are barely noticeable. The main tube features a built-in sunshade, also in good condition. Both the objective lens and the eyepiece have sliding shutters that lift up when using the spyglass and lower to protect the optics when it is stowed.
