Dress Epaulets for an Infantry Officer. Alfonso XIII Era
Antique dress epaulets for an infantry officer, original to the Alfonso XIII era and in good condition. The epaulets are part of the dress uniform worn by Spanish Army infantry officers during the monarchs reign. The ones shown in the images are made of thick, braided gold cord, which is braided back onto itself to create a beautiful symmetrical design. The cord is attached to a red fabric base, likely felt. At the base of each epaulet is a brown leather strip with a metal fitting, designed to secure the piece to the uniform. At the end of the gold cord, each epaulet features a gold button bearing the coat of arms of Spain and the word INFANTERÍA.
These dress epaulets for an Infantry Officer will stand out in the finest collection of historical antiques.
