Antique Epaulets for an Infantry Officer. Alfonso XIII Era

Antique epaulets for an infantry officer from the era of Alfonso XIII, in their original period case and in good condition. The metal fittings used to attach the epaulets to the uniform are engraved with the signature AUÑON, the name of the swordsmith who crafted them. This same name appears on the stamp on the lid of the white cardboard box in which the set is stored. The inscription reads: JUAN AUÑON Swordmaker to Their Majesties and Their Royal Highnesses Fuencarral 33 MADRID. The epaulets are very beautiful, made of brass and featuring striking silver-plated metal appliqués bearing the symbol of the infantry regiment and the royal crown. The metalwork is in very good condition, with no dents, deformations, or visible signs of ageing. The underside is lined with red felt, which is very well preserved, and the aforementioned brass fasteners are in excellent condition.

These antique epaulets for an infantry officer from the era of Alfonso XIII will stand out in a display case alongside the finest military and historical antiques.
