On the base of the chalice, the Latin inscription "Calicem salutaris accipiam: et nomen Domini invocabo," translates to "I will take the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord." This text highlights the importance of the chalice in religious rituals and its deep connection to faith.

The node of the chalice is meticulously decorated and forms the word "JESUS," a detail that not only beautifies the piece but also reinforces its sacred purpose. On the cup of the chalice, the Latin inscription "Hic Est Enim Calix Sanguinis Mei" ("This is the chalice of my blood") completes the work, emphasizing its essential function in the celebration of the Eucharist.

The entire set is presented in its original period case, a box lined with red velvet that adds a touch of elegance and authenticity, ensuring that this religious treasure is an invaluable addition to any collection or for use in liturgical ceremonies. History of the Chalice and Paten

Chalices and patens have been essential elements in Christian liturgy since the early days of the Church. These sacred artifacts are used to contain the wine and bread during the celebration of the Eucharist, representing the blood and body of Christ. Over the centuries, chalices and patens have been crafted from various precious materials and intricate designs, reflecting both sacred art and religious devotion.

During the 19th century, France stood out for the quality and detail of its liturgical artifacts, producing pieces that combined artistic beauty with religious functionality. French workshops, known for their skill in working with precious metals, created chalices and patens that were not only used for religious rituals but also appreciated for their aesthetic value.
