Vintage Virgin and Child Enamel in 18K Gold. Spain, 20th century

The enamel shows the Virgin holding the Child in an intimate and close composition, with a clear maternal sense. The Virgin appears slightly inclined toward the Child, with a serene and restrained expression, while the Child rests on her arm with a calm gesture. The intense blue tones of the mantle stand out, combined with shades of green and pink in the garments, providing contrast and depth. The golden background reinforces the scene, creating a luminous effect that frames the figures and enhances their presence.

The enamel is framed by a bezel of 18K yellow gold. At the top, the suspension fitting incorporates a faceted pink crystal that adds a more vivid touch of color and distinguishes the piece within this type of pendant. The suspension system is located behind the crystal, allowing the chain to pass through. The back is also closed in 18K yellow gold, forming a solid structure that protects the enamel. No visible hallmarks are present, although the gold has been acid tested as 18K.

The condition is very good. No losses or damage to the enamel are observed. The crystal is well set and in good overall condition. The piece is ready for use without the need for any intervention. A pendant with a devotional character, but also of interest as a vintage jewel due to the quality of the enamel, the vibrancy of the color and its good state of preservation.
