The Abridged Atlas, or Concise Geography of the Old and New Worlds. 1709, Antwerp. 3rd Edition. This original book, written in Spanish, takes us on a journey through world geography as seen from the early 18th century. It features an illuminated drawing on the first page and is undoubtedly a highly original work, as it is illustrated with 42 hand-colored maps: 41 of them are double-page spreads, and two are three-page fold-outs-one of the world map and the other of the sky. The maps are rendered with the utmost detail, depicting the various countries along with their topography, accompanied by drawings and coats of arms.

It is bound in leather and shows signs of use, though it is in relatively good condition considering its publication date. The spine bears the title "Atlas," decorated with gilded plant motifs that make it aesthetically pleasing. It has some moisture damage and slight woodworm marks at the bottom of some pages, which can be seen in the photographs.
