Stunning French set consisting of a table clock and a pair of candlesticks, crafted from fine porcelain and gilded bronze between 1856 and 1860. This set is in exceptional condition, retaining all its charm and beauty. The porcelain is exceptionally fine, featuring blue-and-white decoration, and the bronze retains its luster as if it were brand new. All three pieces are signed on the underside. The clock runs perfectly, and the mechanism has been serviced and adjusted.

The clock is a very special piece due to its unique design. Unlike what is typically the case, in this instance the clock's movement is situated between the clock itself and the vase-shaped base on which it rests. One can admire the small pendulum positioned right between the two parts, making the clock appear to be floating in the air. In reality, it is supported by two decorative bronze volutes carved with busts of angels and floral motifs, which serve both as a support and a decorative detail. The dial is adorned with elegant, ornate black numerals and retains its original key.

All three pieces have porcelain bodies with a white background and blue decoration. All are signed. The designs depict flowers, plants, birds, and abstract motifs of Eastern inspiration. The porcelain is signed on all three pieces, and this signature can be seen on the bases, beneath the pedestal. The candelabra each have four lights and are complete; the delicate bronze moldings and volutes that form their upper sections are exceptionally beautiful. This bronze and porcelain set is as antique as it is beautiful, a truly luxurious and valuable piece that will stand out in the decor of even the most elegant living room.
