A fantastic turn-of-the-century clock, crafted from carved and turned solid wood in 1900. This clock is in excellent condition, and its mechanism has been fully serviced and adjusted to ensure perfect operation. The clock strikes the hours and half-hours, and its design is exceptionally beautiful. The turned columns flanking the dial, along with the carved details and metal appliqués adorning the case, create a look of great elegance and simplicity that perfectly complements the reddish wood and the metal dial. The solid wood case is crowned by a finial featuring three finely turned pinnacles. The top of the clock is particularly beautiful, richly carved with an architecturally inspired design. The dial is protected by a door with beveled glass, original to the period. On either side, two understated turned columns lend the piece a balanced beauty. The clock stands on a molded base with four small legs. On the front, three small brass accents adorn the top and center of the base, adding light and luster to the understated design of the case. The clock features an impeccable, warm finish with a satin sheen that enhances the color of the wood.

On the back of the case is a door with a metal ring, which can be opened to access the mechanism that powers the clock. It is in perfect working order, retaining the original pendulum, parts, and gears. On the front, the glass door can also be opened to reveal the elegant metal dial with black Roman numerals.
