Grand Cross of the Order of Agricultural Merit from the Franco era in its original case. This magnificent decoration, in excellent condition, is the highest rank one could aspire to within the Order. This is a civilian decoration created in 1905 and maintained until 1987, when it was transformed by Royal Decree into the Order of Agricultural, Fisheries, and Food Merit. The piece is crafted from solid silver-gilt and enameled. At its center is an allegorical representation of Agriculture: a woman tilling a field with a sunset in the background. She is surrounded by the signs of the zodiac and a beautiful display of dark green enameled rays. At the bottom is the coat of arms of Castile and León, set on a white enameled band bearing the letters MÉRITO AGRÍCOLA in silver-gilt. The decoration retains its original grass-green moiré silk ribbon and is accompanied by the corresponding breastplate and insignia, all in perfect condition.
