Spectacular Leitz microscope from 1921, in excellent condition and working just as well as the day it was made. This instrument is of German origin and comes in its original solid wood case. Accompanying the microscope is a set of accessories, all of which are original and in magnificent condition. The microscope is in very good condition: the brass shows only a few signs of aging, which do not affect the metal itself but are limited to the original protective lacquer. The instrument functions perfectly and offers excellent image quality, thanks to the three original lenses mounted on its revolver.

The Leitz Wetzlar company traces its origins to 1869, when Ernst Leitz took over the Optical Institute founded by Karl Kellner in Wetzlar, Germany. From that point on, the company grew to become one of the two leading firms in the field of microscope manufacturing, alongside Zeiss Jena. The company also earned well-deserved fame for its magnificent cameras, the world-renowned Leica. Today, the company remains active in the market under the name Leica Microsystems GmbH, specializing in the manufacture of microscopes and optical equipment.

On the tower of this beautiful microscope, we can see the manufacturer's name, Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, and the serial number 219359 clearly engraved on the metal. The instrument can be stored in its original solid wood case, which is well-preserved and features beautiful, delicate dovetail joints. The case has an original lock and key that work perfectly, and inside we can see a metal plate bearing the distributor's name: Ernst Leitz, Berlin. Inside, there is a sheet of paper with the microscope's serial number, the date of manufacture, and details about the instrument. There is also a lens case with the manufacturer's name engraved in gold lettering, as well as a small wooden box containing accessories.

This magnificent microscope is a museum-quality piece, whose excellent working condition attests to its high quality.
