Antique British military compass from World War I, manufactured in 1918 and in perfect working order. The compass is in good condition and retains the charm of authentic pieces, with fascinating and little-known stories from its past. The case is made of mahogany and displays the beautiful golden-red color characteristic of the wood. This wood was commonly used in the construction of military and nautical instruments due to its hardness and resistance to temperature changes. In the center of the lid, we can see a small arrow engraved into the wood, indicating that the compass was used by the British Army (this is an official mark). If we turn the case over, we find the inscription J. WARDALE & CO. LONDON 1918, with the manufacturers name and the year of manufacture. The compass itself features scales printed in black on white enamel and brass fittings, and is in excellent working condition.
