Vintage British Pilot's Flight Helmet. World War II. 1941

Vintage flight helmet belonging to a British pilot who served in World War II. The helmet is dated 1941 and comes from England. It is made entirely of leather, and although it clearly shows the effects of age and wear, it is 100% original to the period and retains virtually all of its parts. On the sides, we can see hand-sewn repair stitches from that era. The chin strap is missing, but the rear adjustment strap remains. The top seams are in very good condition and give the helmet its shape; it is displayed on a stand included with the lot. On the inner lining, we can see the manufacturers stamp with the inscription 1941 - MADE BY WAREINGS LTD (NORTHAMPTON) - ST. JAMES STREET - No. 2.
