Fascinating lot of 48 stereoscopic nude photographs reproduced on cardboard. Reprints of images depicting young nude women in various scenes and poses, taken in France and dating from the early 20th century (circa 1910). By the standards of the time, they could be classified as pornographic images and were intended for adult consumption, more or less clandestine. Today, they seem quite innocent. The photographs depicting scenes set in ancient Greece are reproductions of a series of plates produced by the LAtrium studio for Jules Richard. The classical setting served as a way to lend an artistic touch to photographs of overtly erotic content, thereby lending them a sense of respectability. The collection is in very good condition.

This lot of vintage nude photographs is a collectors item, with all the charm of turn-of-the-century naive eroticism.
