Collection of 19 6x13 Stereoscopic Plates. Circa 1920
A nostalgic collection of 19 6x13 cm stereoscopic plates made circa 1920, in its original cardboard box and in very good condition. The glass plates show images of various locations, both interiors and exteriors. They are of a private nature and were likely taken during one or more trips. On the box, we can see the word Rome written in large black ink letters; next to it, in smaller letters, the name Morocco appears crossed out. Therefore, it is not possible to know where the photographs were taken. In one of them, we can make out the courtyard of a palace or building in the Arabic style, with slender columns, pointed arches, and a delicate fountain in the centre; others show interiors of houses, workers going about their daily tasks, beaches and seascapes, landscapes, and groups of people. The plates possess an undeniable nostalgic charm, capturing life in various places at the beginning of the 20th century.
This collection of 19 6x13 stereoscopic plates is a turn-of-the-century gem that retains all its allure.
