The plates are presented in a solid wood box, beautifully preserved and perfect for storing them and keeping them in good condition. The collection comes with a 6x13 mechanical viewer, very well preserved and original to the period. The images are as striking as they are authentic and depict real scenes from World War I. The photos depict the daily lives of soldiers in the trenches and on the battlefield, as well as heavy weaponry (tanks, airplanes), prisoners, military manoeuvres, corpses, and ruined buildings The collection paints a comprehensive picture that gives a sense of how this terrible conflict unfolded, as well as its consequences. The accompanying viewer is made of mahogany and retains the manufacturers plaque on the front, inscribed with UNIS-FRANCE STÉRÉOSCOPES PARIS.
