A refined and stylish English pocket watch, crafted from embossed silver in 1885. This delicate watch is very well preserved and remains as beautiful and elegant as when it was first made, nearly 150 years ago. The silver case features stunning hand-embossed decoration, as does the back cover. The dial, meanwhile, displays a beautiful hand-enameled motif at the center of its white surface: a garland of flowers and leaves surrounding the center of the piece, where the hands are set. This detail combines with the engraved silver decoration to create a piece of unique aesthetic interest, full of old-world charm.

The glass cover protecting the dial is in perfect condition and can be lifted to access the hands. These are made of blue-enameled metal and point to delicate Roman numerals printed in black. The hand-painted motif adorning the center of the dial features a wide range of colors-blue, pink, green, black, and ochre-which form a series of delicate flowers painted with skill and artistry. It is a true miniature, whose small size makes it an even more appealing detail.

The back cover, meanwhile, is a display of embossed motifs. Surrounding the central coat of arms-which is typically reserved for the watch's owner to engrave their name, initials, or a dedication-is a circular border engraved with scrolls and flowers. Encircling this border is another, this time featuring geometric motifs. Inside this back cover, we see several hallmarks indicating the watch's origin (the anchor, for example, corresponds to the city of Birmingham) and the serial number 40529. The same hallmarks are repeated inside the dust cover, and we find yet another on the pendant that connects the watch case to the crown and the ring.
