Solid silver Longines pocket watch, manufactured in Switzerland in 1895. In addition to being a very well-preserved and fully functional piece, this watch stands out for its size, which is slightly larger than other similar models. The movement is in perfect condition, having been serviced to ensure flawless operation. The watch features a white dial and a silver case with gold-plated accents. The dial is very simple and elegant, with black Arabic numerals, a seconds hand, and slender, stylized hour and minute hands. The name "Longines" is stamped at the top of the dial in the brand's characteristic elegant script.

Longines is a leading brand in the world of pocket and wristwatches. The company was founded by Auguste Agassiz in the Swiss town of Saint-Imier in 1832. From then until today, the company has manufactured millions of watches known for their elegance and precision. Longines watches have been present at major events of the 20th century, such as the first Olympic Games of modern history and expeditions to the Earth's geographic poles. Inside the back cover of this watch is the brand's logo (an hourglass), accompanied by the name LONGINES.

Below this emblem, we can also see a hallmark in the shape of a capercaillie, indicating that the watch was manufactured in Switzerland with a silver content exceeding 80%. This number is also engraved on the metal (0.800), and below it appears the watch's serial number: 1021177. On the outside of the dust cover, a beautiful engraving depicts eight medals won by the company at various exhibitions, along with the inscription "GRAND PRIX PARIS 1889." If we open the cover, we see the hallmarks and the serial number again on its inner surface. Finally, the movement is engraved with the company's name in capital letters and also bears a stamp with the initials G.F.

This is a vintage watch that is truly special due to its quality, superb performance, and large size. It is undoubtedly a museum-quality piece, worthy of the finest collection.
