Beautiful 14K Gold Ladies' Pocket Watch. Switzerland, circa 1890. In Original Case
This exquisite ladies' pocket watch is an antique piece crafted in 14K gold. It has been tested and works perfectly, having been serviced to ensure proper functioning. The pendant-style watch was manufactured in Switzerland circa 1890 for the German market. It comes in its original case and is well-preserved, featuring a classic and timeless design that defies trends and the passage of time. The watch case features a hand-engraved back cover with a beautiful floral design and an unmarked coat of arms in the center.
The watch face is white with black Roman numerals. It is in very good condition, and the two slender hands-crafted from copper-colored metal with filigree accents-stand out prominently. On the dial, the lug (the part connecting the case to the crown and the band) bears a hallmark attesting to the quality and origin of the precious metal from which the case is made. If we lift the case back, we can see several hallmarks and marks indicating the watch's origin and the metal's composition. The serial number 17840 is also engraved, along with a stamp bearing the initials AH.
On the exterior of the dust cover, an inscription in elegant calligraphy describes the type of movement the watch contains: Remontoir Cylindre 10 Rubies. On the inner side, the word "METAL" is engraved, indicating that this piece is not made of gold, along with the watch's serial number once again. The movement is delicate and very attractive, consisting of small original parts and gears that function just as well as they did on the first day. As mentioned, the watch comes in its original case, which is in good condition.
This beautiful watch is a gem worthy of the most elegant lady. Its age makes it a very special gift.
