Beautiful Late 19th-Century German Silver Pocket Watch. In Original Case and in Working Order

A gorgeous pocket watch made of hallmarked solid silver, crafted in Germany in the late 19th century. This is a beautiful hand-engraved piece that also comes in its original wooden case. This watch is in excellent condition and works perfectly, having been properly serviced. The watch itself is made of silver, and the chain from which it hangs is made of gold-plated metal. The combination of both pieces exudes great elegance, which is beautifully complemented by the sumptuous red satin lining the interior of the case, against which the watch stands out for its attractive design.

The watch's dial is white, featuring delicate black Arabic numerals and a seconds hand at the bottom. The rim also features a series of small gold-plated metal appliqués, symbolizing the minutes. Both the dial and the crystal are in very good condition. The bezel surrounding the dial is delicately engraved with beautiful, plant-inspired scrollwork. Both the pendant and the ring bear hallmarks-marks from the jeweler that guarantee the piece's quality and origin and certify that the parts are made of solid silver. If we turn the watch over, on the back cover we see a central coat of arms that is unengraved.

Inside the back cover, we see a hallmark featuring a crown, an inscription with the word GALONNÉ, the stamp indicating the quality of the silver, and the watch's serial number: 511182P. The same number is engraved again on the dust cover, this time within an elegant frame. The movement is in perfect condition and features ten jewels, a detail also engraved on the silver. The case in which this exquisite watch is stored is crafted from golden ochre-colored wood and is in magnificent condition. Inside, an inscription is stamped with the name and address of the Berlin shop where the watch was originally purchased.
