A beautiful solid silver pocket watch by Longines, manufactured in 1901. This watch is a true marvel and is very well-preserved, still working just as well as it did on the first day. The watch features various hallmarks on its components that attest to its authenticity, as well as the quality of its craftsmanship and the precious metal from which it is made. The ring and the pendant bear their respective hallmarks, and on the inside of the covers we find other equally significant stamps.

The Longines brand is a true benchmark in Swiss precision watchmaking. The watchmaking company was founded in Saint-Imier (Switzerland) in 1832 and has now been in existence for 180 years. Its founder was Auguste Agassiz, but it was his nephew, Ernest Francillon, who in 1850 sought to consolidate the entire watch manufacturing process into a single factory. To achieve this, in 1866 he acquired two plots of land in a place known as "Les Longines" and founded the factory there, which would take its definitive name. Since 1867, Longines has used a winged hourglass logo to distinguish itself from its competitors. Today, the brand is part of the Swiss watchmaking group Swatch.

The watch is very beautiful. The white dial features Arabic numerals, a seconds hand, and beautiful, stylized hands with scrolls. The case back features a central coat of arms for engraving the initials of the watch's lucky owner, and inside we can see several hallmarks, as well as the brand's logo and the serial number 1799158. These inscriptions also appear on the inside of the dust cover, the front of which displays various medals won by the company at international exhibitions. The movement is also engraved with the name LONGINES and the serial number.
