Exclusive solid silver pocket watch featuring colorful enamel decoration on the back cover. This is a beautiful piece manufactured in Birmingham, England, in 1883. It is a Farringdon H watch, produced by one of the subsidiaries (depots) of the American Waltham Watch Company in the United Kingdom. It is a very special item, both for its exquisite enamel design and for the precision and elegance of its mechanism. The watch comes with the original small key used to wind it and bears several markings indicating the origin, quality, and year of manufacture of the silver case.

The dial is stamped with the inscription "FARRINGDON H," which is still legible but slightly faded. The name "Farringdon" refers to a series of watches that the Waltham company manufactured in the United Kingdom through its subsidiaries. The watch company, also known as American Waltham Watch Co. and American Watch Co., produced approximately 40 million items, including watches, speedometers, compasses, and other precision instruments. It was founded in 1850 and ceased operations in 1957. On this particular watch, the anchor-shaped hallmark indicates that it was made in Birmingham.

The front cover is made of glass, revealing the white dial with Roman numerals and a seconds hand. But without a doubt, what really catches the eye is the beautiful decoration on the back cover, featuring a colorful enamel rosette inlaid in silver. Inside this cover appears the aforementioned hallmark, accompanied by the mark of the rampant lion, which guarantees the purity of the metal. The "A. B." stamp, which is also visible on the pendant, likely refers to Alfred Bedford, then director of the Waltham Watch Co., Holborn Circus, London. The movement, for its part, is a masterpiece of beauty and precision, and is engraved with the serial number 3366053 along with the name of the watch and the manufacturer.
