A beautiful and elegant multi-band tube radio-record player set. Of French origin. This is the Festival Model manufactured by Schneider. In very good condition and fully functional. The turntable is automatic and features an automatic feeder for 45 rpm singles. It operates at three different speeds: 33, 45, and 78 rpm. The radio is multiband, allowing it to tune in to stations across all bands (OM, OL, OC x 2) with excellent reception. It features a large indoor antenna that can be adjusted via a control on the front panel. It operates on 220 V, so it does not require a transformer. It is equipped with seven vacuum tubes: 8EF93 x 2, ECH81, EBF80, EM34, EL84, EZ80. It has an elliptical permanent-magnet speaker and an output for an auxiliary speaker. It also features a magic eye for fine tuning. The turntable takes a little while to accelerate when the platter is completely still, as the motor has lost some of its starting power; therefore, it is recommended to give the platter a gentle nudge with your finger to help it get going. On the other hand, it maintains all speeds very well and can be used to play all types of records, from the earliest gramophone records of 1905 to the vinyls being reissued today in the 21st century. Gramophone records can be played without having to change the stylus for each record, as is the case with gramophones, which is an added advantage.
