Beautiful French tube radio by Radio L.M.T., manufactured in the 1940s. Crafted from solid wood combining two fine woods (mahogany and mahogany palm), the radio is in excellent condition, having been recently restored. The varnish coating the wood has a warm, polished sheen across the entire surface, which enhances the color and grain. Furthermore, the radio works perfectly at 220 V, so it does not require a transformer to connect it to household power outlets.

The beauty of this unit's wood combination is complemented by its attractive front controls-made of copper and off-white Bakelite-and the copper strips that top the wooden columns flanking the dial. The dial is black and features a dual selector switch; it is also protected by a glass cover. Noteworthy at the top is the presence of a "magic eye," the tuning indicator valve that typically adorned high-end radios of the era. The company's logo appears at the bottom of the dial. Although the city names and numbers, printed in white and gold, are slightly faded in some areas, they remain perfectly legible.

The speakers are protected by the characteristic coarse-weave fabric, in this case an attractive antique gold color. The larger left panel is crisscrossed by thin silver-plated metal bars that curve elegantly around the side. The right side also features a recessed section that curves at the corner, covered with the same fabric. The back of the radio can be removed to reveal the valve mechanism, which has been fully restored and fitted with a cord and plug to ensure proper operation.

This radio is undoubtedly a 100% original piece, as beautiful as it is practical, and its sound and presence will captivate fans of authentic antiques.
