This is a beautiful and original English radio from the 1950s, manufactured by the prestigious brand His Master's Voice (His Master's Voice-HMV, also known as Marconi) in Hayes, Middlesex. The aesthetics of this radio, Model 1122, will undoubtedly surprise many lovers of vintage appliances, as it features a futuristic design that is quite different from the aesthetic norms of radios of that era.
Precisely for that reason, this radio has a unique charm and appeal, which, combined with its perfect working condition and excellent preservation, makes it a true collector's item. The dial, located at the bottom and featuring a red background, is another elegant detail worth noting.
The back of the radio, made of black-stained wood veneer, features decorative diamond-shaped cutouts to facilitate ventilation of the mechanism. It bears a series of inscriptions: at the top, we can see the registration number 861813, along with the logo and brand name; and at the bottom, the various inputs and applications.
