Beautiful Spanish Radio by Beltrán, 1940s. In Good Condition and Operational at 125V
This beautiful wooden Spanish radio was manufactured in the 1940s by Beltrán. It is in good condition and operates at 125V. The radio's cabinet is made of varnished wood, with the wood grain visible on the sides and top. The edges and front frame are lacquered and varnished in an elegant ivory tone. The front features a wavy panel painted in creamy white, and slightly offset to the right is the dial, which retains its original circular shape.
In the center of the dial, against a white background with black lettering, we can see the inscription "Onda Media - Dervy Senior - Onda Corta" (the latter two phrases written in red). In the center is an attractive, abstract-style winged logo. Surrounding this design are the various radio stations listed along with their countries of origin. The dial is surrounded by a decorative circle painted in light gold. At the bottom of the front panel are four circular knobs made of white Bakelite, elegantly decorated with a silver ring and an engraved star in the center.
The back of the radio, made of black plywood, can be removed to reveal the original mechanism. Many of the components are engraved with the brand name and logo, Bertrán. The radio's model number, Model 29, is also written in white letters on the back.
This beautiful vintage radio is a real find and will enhance even the finest antique collection, serving as a first-rate decorative piece for the most elegant living room or office.
