Napoleonic Light Cavalry Officers Sabre, Model AN IX. France, circa 1810

Antique Light Cavalry Officers Sabre, Model AN IX, manufactured in France circa 1810 and in very good condition. This is a beautiful weapon, with its original steel scabbard and an elegant brass and wood hilt. The steel blade is in excellent condition and retains traces of beautiful engraved decoration near the crossguard. The brass guard covers half of the grip and branches into three sinuous quillons that terminate at the crossguard. There, an almond-shaped piece fits into the scabbard. The grip is made of wood covered with leather and retains the original wire binding, which is securely fastened and in good condition. The steel scabbard is also in good condition; it displays the patina created by age and use, along with a few minor dentsdetails to be expected on such an antique weapon, which surely has a fascinating past.

Both beautiful and authentic, this superb AN XI-model light cavalry officers sabre is an exclusive item that any collector would love to own.
