Antique Wall Clock With Gilded Brackets. Germany, Circa 1900

Antique Wall Clock in Ebonized Wood with Gold-Plated Accents. Germany, circa 1900

A stunning antique wall clock made of ebonized wood with gold-plated accents, manufactured in Germany circa 1900 and in perfect working condition. The clocks mechanism has been thoroughly cleaned to ensure optimal performance, making it both a decorative and practical piece today. The case is made of solid wood, with a beautiful ebonized finish that gives it a deep black hue. Against this backdrop, the gold appliqué decoration stands out strikingly and creates a very attractive design, perfect for a stylish living room or an entryway with character.

The case is classic in style and features a streamlined design consisting of two clearly distinct parts. At the top is the circular dial, made of white enameled metal and featuring black Roman numerals. The black metal hands are Louis XV-style, with a beautiful and elegant design that perfectly complements the clocks aristocratic air. The dial is adorned with two concentric brass rings: one surrounds the dial itself, and the other separates the numerals from the center. The lower section features a transparent window through which you can see the beautiful pendulum, crafted from brass with a white-enameled center, similar to the dial.

The wooden case is decorated with hand-carved symmetrical volutes, moldings, and turned pieces. The gilded bronze appliqués are also arranged symmetrically. At the top, a beautiful lions head crowns the ensemble. The ebonized finish of the wood appears slightly worn along the edges and moldings, creating a very attractive and original effect. The clocks movement is engraved with a seal featuring a squirrel, flanked by the initials H and B.

This antique ebonized wood wall clock is destined to shine in an aristocratic and stately home.
