Antique Case with Original Medical Instruments. France, Circa 1900

This case containing original vintage medical instruments was manufactured in France in the early 20th century (circa 1900). The set is complete and in good condition, with all tools and accessories. Each piece is marked with the manufacturers stamp, AUBRY, engraved on the metal. The set is presented in its solid wood case, which is also original and lined on the inside with red velvet. Overall, the set is in very good condition.

The name Aubry engraved on the various instruments refers to A. Aubry, a famous manufacturer of medical and surgical instruments who established his workshop on Boulevard Saint-Michel in Paris. Aubry was active between the 19th and 20th centuries, and in 1900 he published a catalog summarizing his entire body of work: *Catalog Illustre des Instruments de Chirurgie*. This magnificent medical kit is a fine example of the quality of his products.

Inside the case, we find a total of eight tools and two accessories for the metal pump. The instruments are made of steel and are well-preserved, showing only the patina created by the passage of time and use. The small pump included in the set is made of gilded brass and comes with two nozzles of the same material. The rest of the instruments consist of a scalpel, two pairs of scissors, two forceps of different sizes, and two scalpels. The handles of the scalpels are made of solid wood stained black. The case, meanwhile, is crafted from solid walnut and is in superb condition. The lock and key are the originals and are in working order.

This fantastic antique medical case will truly shine in the display case or on the shelf of a medical professional who loves antiques.
