Fantastic lot of 5 antique blown opaline apothecary jars, manufactured in Spain circa 1940 and in excellent condition. The bottles are handmade using the glassblowing technique; each one is a unique, delicate, and beautiful piece. They have a capacity of 550 ml. They are so distinct from one another that each cap fits perfectly only on the mouth of its respective bottle. They are made of blown opaline, an opalescent glass whose white hue with blue reflections resembles the tones of opal. Its production began in France in the 19th century, inspired by Venetian lattimo glass and Bristol white glass. It is a very fine, attractive, and artisanal material, perfect for crafting delicate pieces like these fantastic jars.
