Antique French Table-Top Telescope Manufactured in the 19th Century. With Tripod and Wooden Case

A beautiful telescope of French origin, manufactured in the 19th century. This exceptional piece consists of four sections made of gilded brass; it is in very good condition and in perfect working order. The spyglass comes in its original wooden case, where it can be stored when folded, and which also holds the device's original wooden tripod. This accessory is also well-preserved and includes all its parts, allowing it to be smoothly unfolded and folded. The tripod is lacquered black and provides a beautiful contrast to the telescope's gilded metal; together, the two pieces form a set of unique aesthetic interest.

In addition to its decorative value, this telescope is a very old item of great historical interest that also functions perfectly and provides a sharp image. The brass is in good condition, showing only the natural signs of age and use. The lenses and eyepieces are also intact. The small size of the tripod indicates that this is a tabletop spyglass.

The wooden case used to store the device and its accessories is the original. It is made of walnut-colored wood, with attractive, fine dovetail joints. The case retains its original black-lacquered iron handle, as well as the two hooks used to keep it closed. The case is slightly faded due to the passage of time, but the wood remains in good condition.
