Rare Antique Telescopic Pointer, for Educational Use. First Quarter of the 20th Century

This curious piece, approximately a century old, is a pointer designed for educational use in school or university classrooms. It is a rather rare item, a collectors piece dating from the first quarter of the 20th century. The pointer consists of four sections, all made of gilded brass except for the largest one, inside which the others are stored. This particular section is made of enameled iron and still retains much of the original red enamel finish with which it was originally painted. The enamel is somewhat worn, revealing the metal basea detail that attests to the age and history of this attractive piece. The metal cylinders that make up the pointer when extended are well-preserved; the surface has been left unpolished to preserve the items antique patina. At the very tip, we can see a teardrop-shaped piece of beech wood that has been gently polished. This is the original piece and adds an attractive decorative touch to the pointer.

Due to its rarity and authenticity, this pointer is a fantastic collectors item that will delight teachers and educators who love antiques.
