Beautiful Jules Richard barograph manufactured in Paris around 1880. It is in superb condition. A true museum piece or high-end collector's item! The mechanism is mounted on a brass plate attached to a varnished mahogany platform. It features an upper wooden frame with glass on all four sides, which ensures its protection while also allowing the inner workings to be observed without opening it. On the top of the protective case, in addition to a metal handle for carrying, there is a small plaque bearing the manufacturer's name: "Establishment Jules Richard, 25 Rue Melingue, Paris." The barograph consists of a copper mechanism, calibrated for a 7-day recording range of 720-800 mHg. However, the movement actually lasts approximately 9 days. It includes a central thermometer with a range of 00-50 degrees Celsius. Engraved on the base are the device's mark: "Brevet SDGD RF Paris," and the serial number: 144629. This fantastic device functions as both a barometer and a thermometer, recording the readings on the graph paper roll located on one of the sides, which comes with the original key. Furthermore, this fantastic barograph has a very special feature: it comes with an unopened vial of original ink! The small vial has a sticker on the front with the inscription: "Encre Speciale pour enregstreur RF." This magnificent barograph is in impeccable condition, practically like new.
