Attractive antique commercial scale in very good condition and in perfect working order. The scale originates from France and was manufactured in the early 20th century. Despite its age, the scale is in excellent condition: the mahogany base has been restored to bring back the magnificent luster of the French-polished finish. On the front of the base is a small glass window with a brass frame featuring two movable parts that allow the pans to be balanced with precision. The wood is decorated with a hand-engraved rectangular border that adds an elegant touch to this functional piece. The brass pans are original and well-preserved: they are stamped with an oval seal bearing the inscription D. Rousset à St. Chamond. The scale comes with a set of brass weights, in very good condition, complete, and marked with their weight in grams.
