Elegant pectoral cross crafted from solid, hand-carved silver. This attractive piece originates from France and dates to the 19th century, making it a beautiful religious antique. The cross is made of solid silver and bears two hallmarks: one on the ring and the other clearly marked on the base, where the feet of Jesus Christ rest.

The cross is 9 centimeters tall and features a design full of balanced beauty. It is a highly ornate crucifix, with the ends of the crossbeams decorated with curved tips and medieval-inspired floral motifs. The figure of Christ on the Cross is harmonious and flawlessly crafted, with balanced proportions and great realism. The Redeemer raises his eyes to heaven in silent prayer to God. The cloth covering his waist is draped in very realistic folds, while the silver body reveals the contours of the muscles beneath the skin.

Behind the head of Jesus Christ is a circle with a Greek cross engraved inside it, symbolizing the divinity of the figure. At the junction of the stipes and the patibulum (the two parts that form the cross), two medieval-style details emerge diagonally, adding a decorative touch to the crucifix.
