This decorative standing crucifix is a piece of great interest, both for its age and the beauty of its craftsmanship. It was made in France in the 19th century and is in very good condition, appearing just as attractive and elegant as when it was first created. The crucifix is highly original, as it is made of two different types of metal: the base and the cross are of silver-plated brass, shiny and polished, while the elements attached to them (the figure of Christ on the cross, the plaque bearing the inscription "INRI," the rays surrounding the top of the cross, and the Lamb of God on the base) are of gilded brass, creating a beautiful contrast with the base.

The crucifix stands on a solid and highly decorative base. It is square in shape and has four curved, carved legs. The shaft on which the cross stands features a central knop carved with plant motifs, while the base itself has two moldings adorned with the same type of decoration. Attached to its front is the gilded metal piece engraved with the motif of the Lamb of God. Rising from the base is the cross, a beautiful, stylized, and simple piece with the ends of the crossbeams (the patibulum and the stipes) decorated with pilgrim shells carved into the metal.

The figure of the crucified Christ is one of great simplicity, rendered in a geometric style with intense expressive power. It is a well-proportioned figure, with perfectly defined muscles and bones. The cloth wrapped around the Redeemer's waist is also intricately carved, with all its folds rendered with great realism. Above the figure, we can see the plaque bearing the inscription INRI, crafted in the typical parchment style. This ensemble is surrounded by golden rays emanating from behind the cross, symbolizing Christ as the Light of the World.
