This beautiful set of two liturgical cruets comes from France and was crafted in the 19th century. It is made of hallmarked solid silver and hand-cut cobalt blue glass. The combination of these two materials results in an exceptional piece, possessing a unique delicacy and an elegance that transcends fashions and trends. The two pieces are displayed on a custom stand, crafted in the same style and made of solid silver.

The solid silver stand is a delicate tray with four legs that raise it slightly off the base. It is decorated with classical scrolls, shells, and medallions, both engraved and in relief. On each side is a cylindrical, goblet-shaped piece made of silver filigree, designed to hold each of the crystal cruets. In the center is another stylized, vertical silver piece that serves to lift and carry the entire set. On either side of this piece are two small supports: these are for holding the glass stoppers while the cruets are in use.

The solid silver stand bears two hallmarks on the base, attesting to the quality and origin of the silver. One of them is the silversmiths mark, depicting what appear to be insect legs or limbs. The other features the Minerva hallmark, the French silver standard mark. For their part, the cruets display an extraordinary beauty that makes them a highly decorative piece. Crafted entirely from handcrafted blue glass, they are hand-carved with twisting diagonal patterns and decorative circles.
