Serving utensil set crafted from white metal and solid silver, featuring the silversmiths hallmarks and signatures. The set originates from France and dates to the 19th century, meaning the pieces are over a hundred years old. Despite this, they are in very good condition and feature a beautiful, classically inspired design that is intricate and harmonious. The set consists of four pieces: a spoon, a fork, a knife, and a spatula.

Each piece consists of two parts: a solid silver handle and an upper section made of white metal. All pieces bear hallmarks identifying both materials. The handles bear hallmarks indicating the country of manufacture and the silversmith, while the white metal parts display hallmarks with the initials C.C. inside, and others with the words METAL BLANC. The white metal parts are lavishly decorated with engraved motifs: flowers, leaves, lines, rows of dots

The solid silver surfaces also feature exquisite hand-engraved decoration. The handles are adorned with Pompeian-inspired elements that are balanced, symmetrical, and stylized. The set is presented in an original period case, lined on the outside with gold-repoussé faux leather and lined on the inside with off-white satin. The exterior lining is slightly worn at the corners but is otherwise almost entirely intact. Inside the lid, the silversmiths signature, E. Rustan - BÉZIERS, is stamped in the center of the fabric.
