Gorgeous antique gramophone or phonograph with wooden horn made in Switzerland in 1915, wonderfully preserved and in excellent working order. This beautiful device is more than one century old but has survived to our days in great condition. The mahogany wooden box stands on an ample classic base and is adorned with delicate freestanding corner columns, carved in light-colored wood. The side panels are embellished with fine-looking marquetry designs, the front one being the most complex of all and depicting a lira with two crossed wind instruments. The French-polish finish has been restored and looks shiny and even, enhancing the lovely color of the wood. Under the turntable we find the motor with the inscription SWISS MADE engraved in the metal body. The reproducer is English it bears the inscription BRITISH MADE at the back. The arm which connects this element with the horn is made of chrome-plated metal and remains in great condition, just like the elbow which connects the whole set to the box. The impressive mahogany-wooden horn is probably the most remarkable piece of this gramophone. Conical in shape, it stands out for its bright reddish color and spectacular condition. Any lover of music-related antiques will appreciate the quality and the beauty of this antique gramophone with wooden horn, entirely original from the time and in amazing condition and working order.
