This is a curious set of four gramophone postcards made by Raphael Tuck Company. This was the first company in making gramophone cards on a large scale, and they started making them in 1929, probably using old postcards with the idea of recycling them. The set contains four postcards with a small record with songs and talking voices, which can be played in a gramophone. Three of them are in good condition and the other is broken, but nevertheless it can be played. The set comes into its original envelope, which shows detailed information about the audio (songs and speech), patents, city (London) and series. Moreover, on the envelope we can see the word SET-(4) written by hand, with a pencil. Each postcard shows a front side with a record, and a back side where the user could write the texts and the address of destination. The undeniable charm of this curious set of speaking postcards is enhanced by its originality and the possibility of listen to the songs and the rest of the recordings. It is no doubt a unique item, perfect for any lover of vintage records, gramophone and audio systems. A nostalgic set of postcards from the good old times, a real novelty in those years.
