Amazing Plate of the Order of Military Merit White Category in its storing case, made by Castells in Barcelona circa 1915. This medal was awarded to General Manuel Manso Rozas in the time of the Spanish king Alphonse 13th and has survived to our days in great condition. The plates with white distinctive, as the one we are referring to, are awarded for merits obtained in times of peace. It is made of gilt and white silver and has an inner circle with the symbols of the Reigns of Castile, Leon and Granada, and the coat of arms of the House of Borbón-Anjou. Four gilt fleur-de-lys frame the cross together with a beautiful display of silver rays. At the back of the place we can see the mark of the maker with his shield, prizes and name: CASTELLS BARCELONA. The plate is finely preserved, with the enamels complete and with no flaws. The dark red storing case with white satin lining is also in good condition.
