Classic Oil Painting, Framed. Naval Battle. XX Century School

This magnificent picture is a oil on canvas, framed in baroque style and highly decorative. The picture belongs to a 20th century school and was skillfully and freely painted, depicting two ancient ships in a sea battle. One of the ships, the one in the foreground, is a majestic caravel painted in full detail. The other ship is far away and its sails are lowered. The ships boast great bold color details, specially the caravel at the foreground that is the protagonist of the work. We can also remark the striking sky that reminds us of the paintings by masters such as William Turner, and the reflection of the sunlight on the wavy sea. At the bottom right corner we can see the artists signature, authentic and in good condition. As stated before, the picture comes with its original frame, a fine hand-carved wooden piece decorated with gold leaf and black paint. Baroque in style, this frame enhances insuperably the pictures beauty, and is a state-of-art piece itself.
