Fantastic His Master's Voice Gramphone Intermediate Junior. Ca. 1910. Quadrangular oak box with an elegant style, marked by pure and straight lines. Attached original Exhibition reproducer. The crank on the right side is completely original, although it has some rust stains. In this magnificent piece stands out the beautiful aluminum horn with its original period paint, painted in degraded orange tones on the inside and green on the outside. It is decorated on the inside with geometric and vegetal forms of clear modernist influence that make it very decorative. The polychrome of the horn is the original, although it has some flaws in areas, it stands out for its beauty and denotes a point of nostalgia. Piece with brake and speed regulator located at the top of the box. The piece has the logo of the well-known "His Master Voice" brand on the front and a circular sticker on one of the sides indicating the model: Intermediate Junior. Also below this sticker there is a small white screwed plate with the seller's information: Walter Naylar, Rochester. This piece enjoys both excellent aesthetic and functional characteristics and the case is practically new. It still has the original nickel plating, although in some areas it is missing, normal for a piece that has been used. It is in perfect working condition, with all original parts, reworked and revised. This is a genuine piece, a 100% original His Master's Voice horn gramophone and not the more and more common copies made in India that are found in the decoration market. This is the original machine, not the copy! It attaches several records and needles, which will allow you to listen to music from day one. The gramophone will be a tough competitor of the phonograph when the German Emile Berliner invented it in 1887. It was an innovative reproducer device not based on the cylinder invented by the well-known Edison, but on that round surface despised by the father of the phonograph. With the gramophone, the recording was developed laterally, through the groove, instead of the up and down movement of the phonograph. Between the disc and the cylinder there would be a bloody struggle, which would finally win the record thanks to an aggressive advertising campaign that would make this format get more and more followers. The brand "His Master Voice" (HMV) is perfectly identifiable by the logo of the famous dog Nipper listening to a gramophone. Incredibly this logo was at first designed for the competitor of the gramophone but finally it would be changed, representing this one in a very recognizable way. Beautiful and completely original piece that will fill with nostalgia the room in which it is located. Measurements of the trumpet: 66 x 52 cm, Measurements of the box: 35 x 35 x 35 x 17 cms.
