Antique portable soviet gramophone, an exceptional and authentic piece made in the USSR by the Molotov Gramophone Factory in the 1930s. The gramophone is in very good condition and works really fine. It has been fine-tuned and cleaned in order to provide a good performance and neat sound. Though it is finely preserved, some scratches can be seen in the arm and the reproducers. These marks are common in these gramophones as they are caused by the assembling system. The device is nearly 90 years old. The gramophone comes in a suitcase-shaped box, perfect for its storage and transport. The box is rectangular in shape and is made of black-leatherette-covered wood. The covering is well preserved and so are the metal hinges and the suitcase lock. When we open the suitcase, inside the lid we discover an original decal with the gramophone factory logo: a colorful landscape with a rising treble clef. Framing this image we can see the companys name in Cyrillic lettering: MOLOTOVSKII PATEPHONI ZABOT (Molotov Gramophone Factory). The decal is in fine condition and provides the device with authenticity and charm. All the gramophones component parts and pieces are original, from the arm with the reproducer to the crank and the turntable. The reproducer bears the embossed companys name in capital letters, perfectly preserved too. All these details and features, together with the devices fine working order and good condition, turn it into an exclusive and really interesting item. Any lover of old-time gramophone and original pieces will appreciate this antique soviet portable gramophone, a first-class item worthy of the best collection. Measurements: Width: 10.8 in / 27 cm.
