This great Eclipse horn gramophone was made in Britain circa 1915. Its wonderful condition, sound and excellent working order are really remarkable. It has a Garrard motor that works fluidly and silently, providing a high quality sound. The gramophone has a tropical wooden box that boasts a nice deep reddish brown color, but what is most impressive in this piece is surely the amazing polished brass horn. This piece is original and has been thoroughly cleaned in order to show off its splendor; together with the wooden box they make up an item of unsurpassed beauty.This particular gramophone is one of the machine manufactured by the firm, and is especially remarkable because of its excellent condition and working order. It has a Garrard motor with a very special feature: its spring-brake system, quite rare and scarcely seen in this kind of items. All the gramophones pieces are original, from the reproducer to the beautiful elbow that supports this piece and the horn. The elbow is delicately adorned with engraved art deco motives. The motor has the brands name, GARRARD, and the patent number 225,285 engraved in the metal.This amazing Eclipse gramophone is a vintage piece, as beautiful as interesting, perfect to decorate the most demanding music lovers living room or study.Measurements: Box: Width: 310 mm.
