Antique Leather Jewelry Representative Case. Circa 1900

Fascinating antique leather display suitcase made in the early 20th century (1900), which once belonged to a jewelry dealer. In early times, the suitcase was bound to contain the samples the dealer showed the retail distributors. This is quite a rare and original piece and remains in good condition. The brown leather that covers the suitcase shows the logical signs of the trace of time and use that turn this item into a piece with past and history behind. The leather is fully reinforced with perimeter seams which create a fine artisanal effect. But surely the most remarkable feature of this suitcase is its content: it is equipped with eight foldable metal trays, all of them covered by brown velvet inside. The trays are connected by articulated metal plates and make up a surprising and really interesting piece. The suitcase preserves the original side shutters, handle and lock; the lock is in working order and comes with the key.
